Click Hotel / Guest WiFi

What you are setting up

Click Hotel is guest WiFi for hotels and lodges. It runs on a Click OS appliance, and it is bought outright rather than shared.

How it differs from the other products

One lifetime licence, paid once. No revenue share, no per-guest fee, no per-transaction fee, no monthly cost. Your guests are already paying for a room; nothing about their WiFi should meter them again.

That is the whole commercial difference. The software is the same family, and the parts of this manual about the login page, guests and your team all apply.

What you get

  • A branded login page, in Swahili and English, with your hotel's own look
  • Guest access without a payment step
  • Separate networks for guests and for your own equipment: reception PCs, cameras, the booking terminal
  • Usage reporting, so you can see whether the line you pay for is enough

Tiers

Licences come in tiers by size. What a tier decides:

  • How many guests can be connected at once
  • How many separate networks you can run (guest, staff, management, and so on)

Pick by the number of rooms and the number of separate networks you actually need. See Licences and tiers.

What you need

  • A Click OS appliance
  • A Click Hotel licence
  • Your account set up (see Create your account)
  • An internet line

Setting it up

The box is activated exactly the way a Click WISP box is: Devices → Add a device, copy the activation token, paste it into the box, wait for it to check in.

The difference is the licence attached to it, not the setup.

If you also sell WiFi

Some lodges give guests free WiFi in rooms and sell bundles in a public bar or campsite. That is two products on one account, and Click supports it: the appliance running Click Hotel serves your guests, and a separate WISP device or MikroTik sells bundles. Both appear in the same dashboard.
