Before you start

What you need

  • A MikroTik router running RouterOS 7
  • A model that can run User Manager. The small SMIPS models (such as the hAP lite) can't, and Click checks this before you run anything
  • About five minutes with the router and a phone or computer
  • A mobile-money number for your payouts
The recommended setup resets the router. That's what you want on a new or spare one. If yours is already doing something you need to keep, talk to us first.

Getting started

Four steps to your first sale

Create your account

Business name, email and phone. We text you a code to confirm the number. Takes two minutes.

Add your router and run the setup file

Download it from your dashboard, drop it on the router and reset. The status turns green on its own.

3

Create packages and your login page

Choose prices, time or data and speeds. Add your name and colours.

4

Turn on billing and test it

Buy a package yourself with your phone. When that works, you're open for business.

Questions

Click Billing, answered

Do I need to buy special hardware?
No. Click Billing runs on a MikroTik you already own, as long as it runs RouterOS 7 and User Manager. If you don't have one, you can add a router to your order at checkout.
How and when do I get paid?
Your share of each sale goes into your Click balance as it happens. It is sent to the mobile-money number you verified, weekly or monthly as you choose, less a flat TSh 150 per payout. If your balance is smaller than that fee, it simply carries over to the next payout.
What does Click charge?
10% + TSh 20 on each successful customer payment, plus TSh 150 per payout. Nothing to sign up, nothing monthly.
Will my internet connection still work the same?
Yes. Click finds the port your internet line is on and leaves it alone. Only the other ports and the WiFi become the customer network.
Can I run more than one site?
Yes. Add each router to the same account, and your sales and customers are kept per router as well as in total.
Can my staff use the dashboard?
Yes. Give staff their own sign-in with a role that fits: a sales role can serve customers without seeing your payouts.
