Getting paid

Your share of every sale goes into your Click balance as it happens. On your schedule, that balance is sent to your mobile money number.

Find it all under Settlements.

How a payout is put together

  1. Click gathers every completed sale that has not already been paid out.
  2. Adds up your share of them: not the gross, but your share after the per-sale fee.
  3. Takes the flat TSh 150 payout fee off that total.
  4. Sends the rest to the mobile money number you verified.

Each of those figures is on the settlement record, so you can always see how the number was reached.

When it happens

On the schedule you chose: weekly or monthly. Change it any time; it applies from the next payout.

When your balance is small

If your balance has not yet reached the TSh 150 payout fee when a payout is due, no payout is sent and nothing is lost. The balance carries into the next period and goes out then.

This is deliberate. A payout that costs more in fees than it delivers would hand you nothing and still spend your balance doing it.

The Overview page tells you when this is what is happening, rather than leaving you to wonder why nothing arrived.

What each status means

Status What has happened
Pending Worked out and queued. Not yet sent
Processing Handed to mobile money. In flight
Paid Arrived. Check your phone
Failed Did not go through. Nothing was deducted; the balance is still yours

A Failed payout is not lost money. The sales it covered go back into your balance and are picked up by the next payout. The usual cause is a payout number that has been closed or changed network.

Reading a settlement

Open any settlement to see the payout number it went to, the gross, the fee, and what was sent. The sales it covered are linked from it, so you can always answer "which week was this for".

Changing where the money goes

Add and verify the new number under Settlement Numbers, then mark it as the one used for settlement. It takes effect from the next payout; a payout already Processing cannot be redirected.
